The story

I’ve drawn so much inspiration from my wild garden in the last few years and these pieces are no exception. I wanted to create very simple compositions. The layers in the background I made by stenciling with actual leaves from the Eureka Palm in my backyard. The intricacy and detail come in the layers of patterned paper many of which have little surprises if you look up close. Also new is some loose sketching in the background, where I’ve drawn directly onto the canvas. It’s subtle, but again another soft layer creating a little dimension and depth. The titles came from thinking of a bright island world where all the plants run the full spectrum of colors!

Three ways to own this piece

What's a giclée? →
  1. One of one

The original. Ask Jennifer whether the original is still available.

  2. Edition of 125

The signed giclée print— what's in the bag above. A fine-art archival print of the original, signed and numbered by Jennifer, finished with a raised varnish so it hangs without glass. Framed or canvas.

  3. In between

A hand-embellished print — a signed print Jennifer collages over again by hand, so no two are the same. Mostly at the shows. Ask what's available →
