The story
I've been wanting to create some pieces for a while only in shades of blue, and I've finally done it! There is a much softer turquoise blue background you can barely see, that sets off the more saturated blues of the leaves nicely. These remind me a little bit of antique French and Chinese porcelain pieces, but with a modern twist. They are playful but are also precise and delicate, and have the strength and contrast the rich cobalt and sapphire blues provide. After using so many different colors in my work over the years, the simplicity of using "50 Shades of Blue" was wonderfully easy on the eyes!
