The story
We can’t see many things that have an effect on us but we know they are there! This is the idea behind this piece and its title. Lynard Skynard wrote this song and it seemed to help articulate this feeling that the breeze is such a strong part of our experience at the beach, even though we cannot see it. This piece remains simple in its composition, and allows for the use of more refined colors. Its soft and light and fresh. I use white in this piece in the sky which is unusual, making this perfect on colored walls. The original piece had silver leaf running through it and in the print this effect looks like reflective and delicate clouds hovering. The seagulls are coasting on this one, which I think adds to its serenity and peacefulness.
