The story
This large Tarpon was created to show during the annual Worlds Richest Tarpon Tournament that happens in Boca Grande every May. I know Tarpons aren't blue, but If you like fish art, or have a coastal home I always feel like shades of blue and navy will fit in nicely. For the fisherman out there, I try to illustrate the fish accurately, but of course its fun to add in some artistic license! It was such fun to watch the Tournament from the lighthouse at the tip of Boca Grande, and watch as these huge “Silver Kings” were pulled to the side of the boat and measured.
