The story
This was one of the first pieces where the subject is made entirely from paper. This fish is created from many layers of tiny pieces of paper graduating from white to yellow, then green to blue. Look closely and you will find a few surprises. These fish have a great array of different colors, depending on where they are in the world. I learned they turned this color while feeding or when they are caught. Normally they are a grayish blue color. What an amazing creature with these bright bold colors! Known as Mahi Mahi, Dorado or Dolphin, my first memory of this fish was during a family fishing trip where my mother landed a big one! We promptly ate it that evening and it was delicious! If you like fish, this one will offer bright happy colors to any coastal interior.
