The story
I’ve been asked to do mermaids for years. I wanted to create a composition that strengthened the idea of the mystery with Mermaids, so making Sirena more elusive came to mind. I had created a splash with Jumpin’ Jack Splash and thought to try that again suggesting you just missed this mermaid - having just jumped back into the water! The sirens of Greek Mythology, who lured nearby sailors with their enchanting music and singing voices to shipwreck on the rocky coast of their island inspired her name. If you looking for a set of two, Sirena makes a great partner with Tall Tails. Many people also think this is a whale tale, which it could be! That’s the great thing about art; the viewer gets to add their own experience and desires to the piece. Either way, Sirena will make an adventurous splash on any wall!
