The story
In the busy “byway” of Texas’ Galveston Island, Ive seen many gorgeous migratory birds in the spring and fall. The Goldfinch with its happy bright yellow has been a favorite I’ve placed in many pieces. The meaning of the goldfinch signifies abundance and prosperity. It symbolizes the importance of positivity and optimism, and the value of happiness, joy, and simplicity in your life, and who doesn’t need that!? I enjoy art history and it is significant in many famous pieces as the bird repeatedly, almost obsessively, turns up in Renaissance religious paintings, almost always in the hands of the Infant Jesus. A yellow finch represents abundance and success. It is a great sign if you are feeling that there is a lack of finances or love in your life. Seeing a yellow finch is a sign that you have the power to manifest a higher version of yourself, with some work and faith in yourself. The idea of something having a strong impact immediately and at first glance moves me, and these two birds reminded me of finding love at First Sight.
