Dunedin — we're coming this weekend

We're coming to Dunedin this weekend! In these new pieces, "Utopia" and "Eden", I wanted to create very simple compositions inspired by my wild garden.

This weekend! Jan 4th & 5th ~ 10am to 5pm ~ Main Street.

Bonita Springs, Naples and St. Armands to follow.

Utopia and Eden

This is my wild garden where I've drawn so much inspiration from in the last few years. In these new pieces "Utopia" and "Eden", I wanted to create very simple compositions. The layers in the background I made by stenciling with actual leaves from the Eureka Palm in my backyard. The intricacy and detail come in the layers of patterned paper, many of which have little surprises if you look up close. Also new is some loose sketching in the background, where I've drawn directly onto the canvas. It's subtle, but again another soft layer creating a little dimension and depth. The titles came from thinking of a bright island world where all the plants run the full spectrum of colors!

The originals and prints are available and will be posted to the website soon.
