Utopia and Eden

Jennifer stands in her studio holding two new floral collages — layered patterned-paper blooms and leaves in coral, blue, and green.

This is my wild garden where I've drawn so much inspiration from in the last few years. In these new pieces "Utopia" and "Eden", I wanted to create very simple compositions. The layers in the background I made by stenciling with actual leaves from the Eureka Palm in my backyard. The intricacy and detail come in the layers of patterned paper, many of which have little surprises if you look up close. Also new is some loose sketching in the background, where I've drawn directly onto the canvas. It's subtle, but again another soft layer creating a little dimension and depth. The titles came from thinking of a bright island world where all the plants run the full spectrum of colors!

Delivery on framed giclees is about 3 weeks. Orders for original embellished giclees will take around 8-12 weeks. Originals can be shipped within the week.
