Happy Feet
Many times, I’ve been referred to as the “Octopus Artist”. I got on a real kick of making these! They’ve been so enjoyable that I’ve made them in many different compositions and colors. The elegance and playfulness of their tentacles are fun to layer, and wind around each other and the canvas. While making the octopus Ringo Starr, I learned that Octopus pick up shiny objects while they travel along the ocean floor and put these sparkly items in piles or “gardens”, as Ringo wrote. So I thought it was fitting to add sparkling paper and gems to all my octopus tentacles. Happy Feet is one of those that presents a little mystery, just a suggestion of an exquisite sea creature. This piece is also more refined color-wise, with very soft sea foam greens, some teals and turquoise and shades of gray and white, so It can go in more formal rooms like a dining area. Also the Octopuses are popular bathroom art, as they are serene and calming in watery settings. I adorn the tentacles with pearls and crystals so when you look at Happy Feet, you’ll notice the ornamental quality. It looks as if it’s shining and reflecting light, a little fancier than your average Octopus!

Every frame is a 2½ in moulding in Ivory Wash, Dove Grey or Warm Silver, around a white textured liner.
The framed size is the artwork plus the liner and the moulding on every side. The medium, across: 20 in artwork + 2 in liner × 2 + 2½ in moulding × 2 = 29 in.
Canvas: small 13 × 26 in · medium 20 × 40 in · large 24 × 48 in. Gallery-wrapped, no frame needed.
Every size arrives ready to hang, no glass needed.

A giclée is a fine-art print of the original, professionally printed with pigmented archival ink in Sarasota. Each one is signed and numbered by Jennifer, in a limited edition of 125 across all sizes.
It is finished with a raised varnish, so it hangs without glass.
Hand-embellished prints, signed prints Jennifer collages over again by hand so no two are alike, are sold at her shows.
