The story
This species is one that’s almost entirely translucent. They have a large population and are found in temperate seas with consistent currents. This is part of a set of jellyfish I created in 2019, after years of thinking about their tentacles, and how I would make them. I used lots of textured and sparkly ribbon and these thin pieces mixed in with curly strips of paper make the graceful tentacles. I spent a great deal of time getting the background right. I used layers of Golden liquid acrylics to achieve this watery feel.
